Done

Finished decrypting the sprites in Senkyu, E-Jan High Scool, Raiden Fighters and Viper Phase 1.

Raiden Fighters Jet is the only one left. It uses a different encryption, which might be similar to the one used by Raiden Fighters 2 2000.

  3. Devs come and go, but its always great to have the original developers still contributing to the project and I'm sure the whole team are quite simply amazed by your progress on this. Stunning.

  6. I can't imagine how much effort and dedication you have put into making these games come to life again, thanks Nicolas! And I know it may sound childish, because I am knew to Mame, but does this mean a new version will be out soon? If anyone has the answer I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks again Nicolas!

  7. More likely, a new version will come out when Aaron is done with his core update.

(but since you're 'knew', you probably don't know what I'm talking about :)

  10. This is truly a great victory for MAME. Amazing work!

I take it the balls in that first picture are supposed to have those stripes? It looks similar to the visual artifacts found with incomplete decryption.

  11. ah, Nicola,
ha detto Fran che se non sproteggi anche Raiden 2 e Raiden DX farà harakiri.

  26. The balls in Senkyu do have stripes in that screenshot. They're just really hard to see given the size of the picture.

  39. which one actually? first up or first bottom? the BALLS??????

  40. What can I say? I like balls!

  41. after seeing last developement on buggy boy, it seems that someone should keep his mouth well shut, instead of calling ppl lame.

  42. News on the work on Buggy Boy has nothing to do with Nicola's (great) work...

And to ask a dev to work on something (either Raiden2 or Buggy Boy or anything else) is always a lamer behaviour!

If you want to play some game on MAME and MAME don't support it now... then let's take a look to the source and try to add it by yourself! Everybody else will say thanks to you! It's the main reason to have the source downloadable!

by the way THANKS to Nicola also for his invisible (on this page) work on old games :)
